Wow, what a year 2010 has been – life changing, exciting and non-stop …all at the same time!
The year started with me making the huge decision to resign from my day job and go full-time as a Manchester wedding photographer, and without doubt it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am extremely lucky to now make my living by doing something which I absolutely love.
Then, in July, I was awarded a Licentiateship qualification with the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) in the category of Wedding Photography. The BIPP are the official qualifying body for professional photographers in the UK and their qualifications are seen as a benchmark for excellence, so I was obviously extremely proud to have been successful.
2010 has also been my busiest year for weddings so far – and I have loved every one!I have been extremely lucky to work with so many fantastic couples at lots of great venues including; Mitton Hall, The Inn at Whitewell, Farington Lodge, Belle Epoque, Manchester Town Hall, Etrop Grange, Clough Manor, The Lowry, Inglewood Manor, Stonyhurst College, Samlesbury Hall, Egypt Mill and Brocket Hall.
In between all this, the year also saw my Facebook Page reach over 1350 ‘Likes’ and I also started my Twitter account – @neilredfern
I’m extremely pleased to be almost fully booked for 2011 already and I can’t wait to work with many more great couples at some such a wide variety of wedding venues, including a few which I haven’t worked at before, including The Alderley Edge Hotel, Chester Zoo, The Midland Hotel, Hassop Hall, Hillbark Hotel, Broadoaks Country House, Davenport Green Hall and Rivington Hall Barn – all very exciting!
So, to all the fantastic bride and grooms I have worked with this year, as well as all those who have booked me to cover their weddings next year, I would like to say a massive thank you for helping to make 2010 such an amazing year for me
