I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed for a feature in the fantastic wedding magazine, Pure Weddings

The interview was a lot of fun and I was asked lots of questions, including how I started out as a wedding photographer, what were my favourite parts of the job and what I felt were the 10 most important photographs to capture on a wedding day.  I am really pleased with the finished article, especially as it features some of my favourite wedding photographs!  One of my photographs from Leanne & Paul’s wedding at Mitton Hall was featured in another article in the same issue

I was also really pleased to find that more of my photographs were also used in a wedding related article in the current edition of Cheshire Life magazine!

I was pleased to see that some of my favourite photographs from a wedding I covered at the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park, Lancaster last year, have been published in the wedding section of the Lancashire Evening Post newspaper.

As a photographer it is always exciting to see my work published so I was really pleased that the newspaper chose to publish 3 of my photographs

I was recently asked by Manchester Town Hall if I would provide them with some photographs which I took a Manchester Town Hall wedding last year so they could be included in the Town Hall’s latest wedding brochure.

I was more than happy to assist and today I received a copy of the printed brochure.  The wedding brochure itself is excellent and really sells Manchester Town Hall well, not that it really needs it, most couples interested in getting married at there fall in love with it when they visit.

I was pleased to find out last week that one of the photographs I took at a Manchester Town Hall wedding last year has been published in Live Cheshire magazine.

The wedding photograph was published as part of Live Cheshire’s wedding section, within a feature about weddings at Manchester Town Hall.

Manchester Town Hall is a fantastic wedding venue, extremely photogenic, and it came as no surprise to me to read in the magazine that the Town Hall is almost completely booked out already for 2010 weddings.  As a Manchester wedding photographer I am lucky enough to have another two weddings there this year and I am already looking forward to them!

Hidden away off the junction of Marsland Road and Derbyshire Road in Sale, the beautiful Walkden Gardens seems to be one of the area’s best kept secrets.

Despite the fact the gardens are located in a residential area, not many people (even locals) seem to be aware of their existance. I live in Sale but hadn’t heard of them until I was introduced by a couple whose wedding I was covering last year. The couple were getting married nearby and thought the gardens would make a lovely setting for their family group shots and photographs of the two of them together. They were right!

Assuming the weather is good (not always a given in Sale!) the gardens are perfect for bride and groom photographs as they are relatively private, have lots of different sections (good for variety) and, most of all, are extremely photogenic!!

Walkden Gardens has it’s own website (www.walkdengardens.co.uk) which is maintained by “The Friends of Walkden Gardens”, a voluntary group who help manage the gardens and ensure it’s upkeep and long term future. After becoming a fan of the gardens (I’ve now since been back with another bride and groom) I recently got in to touch with them to offer my assistance should they require any photography for their website etc. They were very appreciative of my offer and I recently spent and evening in the gardens taking photographs for them.
