Last month I had the pleasure of covering Karen & James’ amazing wedding at Hassop Hall Hotel in Derbyshire![]()
Karen is a good friend of my wife Michelle, so it was lovely to be able to photograph her wedding, and I had been looking forward to it for a long time. This was the first wedding I had covered at Hassop Hall – and wow, what a great venue it is! It is located in a really picturesque area of Derbyshire, surrounded by rolling hills all around. It is the perfect venue for a wedding.
I started the wedding day by taking photographs of Karen as she got ready in her room in Hassop Hall, before going to meet James and his groomsmen who had stayed over the night before in a small cottage nearby. By the time I headed back to Karen just before the wedding ceremony the weather had really picked up and it ended up being a really hot day – which was perfect for Karen & James’ wedding as it meant we could make the most of the venue’s beautiful gardens. As you will see in the photographs, this was a really fun wedding and everybody had a great day.
To Karen & James – thank you very much again for asking me to be your wedding photographer, it was a pleasure to be able to capture your day for you. I just hope you don’t mind that I didn’t include any of the photographs of you wearing the mask or false teeth…
I wish you both a very long and happy marriage together – which I know it will be! x
