Eaves Hall wedding photography
If you have chosen to have your wedding at Eaves Hall – congratulations! You have chosen one of the best, most photogenic venues in the North West. You are going to have an amazing day!
Eaves Hall Weddings
Set in the Ribble Valley, Eaves Hall near Clitheroe in Lancashire is one of my favourite wedding venues. It is one of those rare country house venues that is just as photogenic inside and it is outside. This makes it a superb choice for both winter and summer weddings, regardless of the weather. It is a venue where good wedding photographs are guaranteed!
It is not hard to see why it is one of the most popular venues in the North West. Eaves Hall itself is a beautiful country house with 30 bedrooms and surrounded by 13 acres of elegant gardens. It is owned by James Places who also own the equally impressive Mitton Hall and Shireburn Arms. James Places wedding venues are well renowned in the industry and all have an exceptional reputation.
I always love weddings at Eaves Hall, I have been lucky enough to photograph a number of weddings there over the years and every single one has been amazing. If you have chosen to have your wedding there you have made a very good choice! The staff are so friendly and helpful which is such a big help to me. As with all James Places venues, they really always make sure that wedding suppliers are looked after and work with them on the day to make sure that every wedding day is perfect.
On this page you will find lots of my favourite photographs from Eaves Hall, as well as videos from my YouTube channel which I have recorded there and links to blog posts of some of the recent real weddings which I have captured. But as always, if you are looking for an Eaves Hall wedding photographer, have any questions at all or would like to arrange a chat with me so I can find out more about your day and introduce myself to you properly, please do not hesitate to contact me – I would love to hear from you!
A wedding venue for all seasons – whatever the weather!
As the inside space of Eaves Hall is equally as photogenic as the stunning gardens which surround the venue, it really is a venue which is perfect for both summer and winter weddings. Eaves Hall has lots of magnificent and very spacious areas inside, including the snug, the snooker room, an amazing staircase and beautiful reception rooms. This means that even if the weather isn’t great (and let’s be honest, it does sometimes rain in Lancashire…) it really makes no difference at all and there are so many different rooms inside which are great for wedding photographs.
In fact, even if the weather is great and the sun shines all day, I would still always suggest to my couples that we take some photographs inside, simply because it is so beautiful. Not that I would wish it on any of my bride and grooms, but also I love taking romantic photographs in the rain, especially at night time and Eaves Hall has been the setting for many of my favourite wedding rain photographs. So whatever the weather, you don’t need to worry about your photographs!
Eaves Hall is the home of my wedding photography workshops
For the past 7 years I have been holding my own wedding photography workshops where I offer help and training for other photographers. As I love the venue so much and because it offers so much potential for beautiful creative wedding portrait photographs both inside and outside, regardless of the weather, for the past 5 years I have chosen to hold these workshops at Eaves Hall. This just proves how much I love Eaves Hall!
As a result of holding my workshops at Eaves Hall I know the venue extremely well which can be extremely useful on a wedding day because whatever the weather or the time of day, I know the best places to go for the best photographs. I can also promise you that I have enjoyed every single one of my weddings and my workshops at Eaves Hall. The staff there are absolutely fantastic and do everything they can to ensure you have the best day possible. Going to Eaves Hall now, whether it be for a wedding or a workshop, always feels like I am going back to my photography home.

Why I love taking wedding photographs at Eaves Hall
I have been lucky enough to have photographed a number of weddings at Eaves Hall over the years and I can honestly say that I have loved every one. It really is a dream wedding venue – not only for you as the bride and groom but also for me as the photographer! As I mentioned above, it is the also the venue which I have chosen to hold my own wedding photography workshops, which proves just how much I love the venue from a photography point of view!
The staff at Eaves Hall are just fantastic and help make each and every wedding run perfectly. They not only treat bride and grooms amazingly well but also wedding suppliers. I can tell you as a wedding supplier myself that Eaves Hall has an exceptional reputation throughout the industry because of how much care and attention goes in to every single day and how welcome everyone is made to feel on the wedding day.
It is also an ‘Exclusive-Use’ venue, meaning that bride and grooms have the entire luxury venue to themselves on the wedding day. I personally think is always much nicer and helps to make your wedding day feel ever more special as you have the whole venue and the grounds to yourself and your friends and family! The views over the Ribble Valley are stunning and on your wedding day, they are all yours!
The 30 bedrooms at Eaves Hall are huge and luxurious (again, a big bonus for wedding photography!) and I also love the ceremony room which always looks absolutely incredible. This is often the same room where bride and grooms have their wedding breakfast and it works perfectly. I have heard so many emotional and funny speeches made in that room and the atmosphere is always brilliant.
