Autumn wedding at Knowsley Hall

Perfect couple, beautiful wedding and falling leaves

Donna and Jonathan’s autumn wedding at Knowsley Hall was such a fantastic day to photograph. They are such a brilliant couple and they were both so happy. It was such a nice day to be a part of.

Knowsley Hall has long been one of my favourite wedding venues so I always love going there. It is just such a photogenic and wow venue with so many great options for photographs. This was the first wedding I had photographed there in the autumn though and it looked absolutely amazing. The gardens behind the main hall looked stunning with the autumnal colours and made for beautiful portraits.

I had a bit of a scary moment as when I was leaving Knowsley Hall and heading to the church ceremony, having just been taking photographs of Donna and her bridesmaids getting ready, the electric gates to leave the venue didn’t work, meaning I had to race through the grounds (which are vast!) and then overtake Donna’s horse drawn carriage on the way. Luckily I made it but was very flustered for a couple of minutes! Thank you Jonathan for calming me down when I arrived at church!
