I recently had the pleasure of covering Claire & Steve’s beautiful wedding at The Hillbark Hotel in Frankby, Cheshire 🙂
The first thing to say about Claire & Steve’s wedding day is it was hot, and when I say hot, I mean HOT!! It must have been the warmest day of the year so far. Not that it was a bad thing as Claire & Steve had an outside wedding ceremony (I love outside wedding ceremonies – they remind me of my own wedding) so the warm weather was just perfect for them!
This was such a fun and relaxed wedding to photograph, I didn’t sense nerves from either Claire or Steve all day – it was just smiles and laughter all the way 🙂
I started the day at Claire’s parents house as she got ready (as you will see, Claire looked beautiful in her dress), before heading to Hillbark Hotel in time to get some shots of Steve and his groomsmen before the ceremony. From then on the whole day just flowed perfectly and everybody had a fantastic day.
This was also the first time I had photographed a wedding at The Hillbark Hotel and I really enjoyed. It is a fantastic wedding venue – beautiful on the inside, the opportunity for an outside wedding ceremony, lots of space and all surrounded by large, photogenic gardens – what more could you ask for in a wedding venue?! I really hope to work there again soon.
To Claire & Steve, thank you very much again for asking me to be your wedding photographer. It has been a real pleasure to work with you both and I am really pleased that you are both so pleased with your wedding photographs (as am I!) I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together 🙂
Here are a few of my favourite photographs from your big day:

Great set of shots Neil…love the falling jenga!
Lovely selective focus shots as the bride approaches the groom. His expressions are fantastic. I’m booked for two weddings next summer that are pencilled in for outdoor ceremonies. I hope the weather plays ball on those days.
Great use of the wide angle in a lot of these shots.
Amazing images Neil, lots of laughter throughout so its clear you had a great rapport with everyone. My faves are the shooting into the sunset one – good skills 🙂
Great work as usual Neil, beautiful imagery which just keeps getting better.
How well did you cope with that sun, truly professional. Love the balcony dance shots.
