A few weeks ago I had the huge honour of photographing Jacqui & Matt’s Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral wedding. Jackie and Matt are one of the nicest couples you could meet. Their wedding at one of Liverpool’s best wedding venues was always going to be amazing.

This wedding was memorable for lots of reasons. Not only for the sheer emotion and excitement of the day. Or the fact we had both rain and hailstone and also bright sunshine when we needed it. But also for the unique touches like an R2D2 wedding cake and two Star Wars Stormtroopers welcoming the wedding guests! I’m pretty sure I won’t see that at a wedding again 🙂

I started the day with Jacqui as she got ready at Inglewood Manor before joining her guests on a coach to Liverpool for the wedding ceremony. The Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral is an such a stunning building. The area where Jacqui and Matt got married, the Lutyens Crypt is an incredibly atmospheric place for a wedding ceremony.

After the wedding finished we had all seasons in one day as we had rain, then sunshine, then once the wedding breakfast was about to be served, the hail came! Bizarre! It was a fantastic day though and nothing less than Jacqui and Matt deserved.

To Jacqui & Matt – Thank you so much for asking me to photograph your wedding at the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your wedding. Thank you so much again for all your lovely kind words about your photographs, they all mean so much to me.
