Creative Rookery Hall Wedding Photography
A day of real happiness, emotion and joy is the best way to describe Leanne and James’ summer wedding at Rookery Hall in Cheshire.
Rookery Hall is a beautiful wedding venue. The old part of the building is absolutely beautiful and makes a fantastic backdrop for reception drinks. The grounds are stunning too and are brilliant for wedding photographs. I have been lucky enough to photograph a number of weddings at Rookery Hall and I have enjoyed every single one. It’s a fantastic place to get married.
From the moment I arrived and started taking photographs of Leanne and her Bridesmaids getting ready, you could just feel the excitement. Together with a few happy tears. Everyone seemed so calm too. There wasn’t any time for stress and this was a day all about happiness!
A few weeks before their wedding I had met up with Leanne and James for their engagement shoot in the Lake District. We had a lovely time on their shoot. We even went back to the spot where James had proposed to Leanne. As I had chance to get to know them both better then too, I had really been looking forward to their wedding.

The ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich was beautiful and we had almost non-stop sunshine. Something which just seemed to mirror the mood of the day. I left feeling more like I had been a guest than a photographer. That was all due to Leanne and James’ kindness and warmth.
It was also great to work with the brilliant Maxine Smith again too. As always, Maxine made all the girls look even more amazing.
It has been a pleasure getting to know you both Leanne and James and I loved being a part of your incredible day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together x
